By decision of Prime Minister, starting from 1 September 2025, a 3-month paid internship competition will be announced in public institutions

By decision of the Prime Minister of Georgia, starting from 1 September 2025, a three-month paid internship competition will be announced in public institutions, as well as in legal entities of public and private law (LEPL) within the realm of the public sector of the country.

Applicants may submit their applications from 1 to 10 September 2025, through the website administered by the Government Administration - [www.hr.gov.ge] - for up to 3000 competitions announced by various agencies.

An intern may be any capable citizen of Georgia who knows the state language and is studying at the first stage of higher education (in the final academic year), or at the second stage or has completed the first or second stage of higher education in the spring semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.

The selection criterion is defined as the applicant"s academic performance (grading scale of 71-100 points and/or GPA of 2.7-4.0). At the same time, government agencies, depending on the structural unit and specific field, will determine additional qualification requirements for interns.

The competition will be conducted in two stages - application screening and interview. The applicant will be evaluated by a commission established by the head of the respective public institution. In cases of equally qualified candidates, preference at the interview stage will be given to those with higher academic performance.

Selected candidates will undergo internships from 1 October to 31 December 2025.

Internships carried out in public institutions where work is considered public service will count toward public service experience, while internships in legal entities of public and/or private law will be counted as general work experience.
