The Parliamentary Delegation serves the official visit to Brazil. The first meeting within the framework of the visit was held with the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Brazil, Mr. Hugo Motta.
The central focus of the meeting was the parliamentary ties prospects. The discussion encompassed the political, economic, and trade ties between the two nations. The special emphasis was placed on cooperation in the educational sector and the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
Georgian Members of Parliament introduced information regarding the situation in the occupied regions of Georgia and expressed their sincere gratitude to the Government of Brazil for its unwavering support of the territorial integrity of Georgia.
At the end of the meeting, MPs invited Mr. Motta on the response visit to Georgia.

Parliamentary Delegation, headed by the Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, is composed of: Mariam Lashkhi, Head of the Georgia-Brazil Friendship Group and the Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee; and Victor Sanikidze, Chairman of the Sports Committee; as well as the Ambassador of Georgia to Brazil, Zurab Mchedlishvili.
