Statement by Khazaradze, his party colleagues that they discovered a “technical misunderstanding” and paid off the debt to the budget themselves is false - Revenue Service
Given the high public interest, we would like to once again respond to the lease relationship between Mamuka Khazaradze’s family and the Embassy of Germany, which is being investigated by the Revenue Service, reads the statement, issued by the agency. “We emphasize that the statement by Khazaradze and his party colleagues that they discovered a “technical misunderstanding” and paid off the debt to the budget themselves is false. Mamuka Khazaradze"s family only applied to the Revenue Service with a request for tax returns after information about the absence of an agreement between the parties was first disseminated in the media, and then the Revenue Service began investigating the issue. At present, the Revenue Service, in order to fully study the issue, has requested documentation, including from the Khazaradze family, as well as information from the Chamber of Notaries and the Public Registry, in order to determine whether an agreement actually existed between the parties. In addition, the Revenue Service has requested documentation from the Khazaradze family confirming bank transfers in order to determine the actual amount of income received by the Khazaradze family from the Federal Republic of Germany, in order to subsequently determine the compliance of the settlement with the budget and possible tax sanctions. The Revenue Service calls on the family of Mamuka Khazaradze to cooperate with the agency and submit all the documentation necessary for a comprehensive study of the issue in a timely manner”, - reads the statement.
