Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili met with the Speaker of the National Council of Slovakia, Richard Raši.

The two counterparts engaged in deliberations regarding the friendly relations between Georgia and Slovakia. The primary focus was on strengthening the parliamentary connections between the two nations. The emphasis was placed on the economic cooperation potential, including in the energy sphere.

Mr. Papuashvili expressed his sincere gratitude to Slovakia for its unwavering support of Georgia’s territorial integrity and its aspirations for a European future. He emphasised the profound significance of Slovakia’s statements of support for Georgia at the European Union platforms.

The discourse addressed the Georgia-EU relations. Mr. Raši emphasised that Slovakia is a steadfast supporter of Georgia’s European aspirations.

The meeting was held within the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva.

At the Conference, Speaker Papuashvili is accompanied by the Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze.
