The Speaker of the Parliament participates in the World Conference of Speakers of Parliament within the framework of his visit to Geneva. Shalva Papuashvili will partake in the general debates and deliver his address.
“During my visit to Geneva, I will have the privilege of meeting my counterparts and communicating the issues stemming from the national interests of our country”, - he noted.
As the Speaker emphasised, the Conference is attended by the Speakers of the Parliaments of over 100 countries.
“The convening of such a high-level event occurs once every five years. Over 100 countries are represented by their Speakers of Parliament, presenting a unique opportunity to engage with my colleagues and discuss the issues that arise from our national interests. The Conference will also provide the privilege to conduct bilateral meetings and conversations. Additionally, I will deliver a speech on the topic of the Conference. Naturally, my address will be delivered from the Georgian perspective”, - he asserted.
Conference and the meetings will be attended by the member of the Delegation, Chair of Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze.
