President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
The meeting focused on the prospects for deepening and developing the existing friendly, partnership and economic relations between the countries in various directions.
According to the President of Georgia, the friendship and close cooperation model between the two countries is exemplary, which is based on trust, mutual respect, equality and consideration of the national interests of the countries. Mikheil Kavelashvili once again thanked the Azerbaijani side for its unwavering support for Georgia`s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
"I had a rather fruitful meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. As you know, we are strategic partners with Azerbaijan. We jointly participate in very important projects, we also agree on many issues. We intend to implement quite interesting projects in the economic sphere. We always note that our relations with Azerbaijan are exemplary, I am sure that these relations will further strengthen and develop", - said the President.
As he added, Georgia is unwaveringly committed to establishing long-term, sustainable peace and stability in the South Caucasus and is ready to continue to contribute to this process as needed.
