President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili meets with Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey Omer Bolat

President of Georgia met with the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey Omer Bolat. As Mikheil Kavelashvili noted at the meeting, Georgia attaches great importance to the strategic partnership between the two countries, which is based on trust, mutual respect and consideration of each other"s national interests. He underlined that Georgia appreciates Turkey`s unwavering support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The meeting focused on the intensive economic cooperation: "The existing projects of regional and strategic importance are a clear example of effective strategic cooperation, sustainable development and reliable partnership between our countries. I hope that with joint efforts, we will take economic relations to an even higher level", - added Mikheil Kavelashvili.

As he noted, Georgia is committed to promoting peace, stability and trust in the South Caucasus region through dialogue, diplomacy and cooperation.

The meeting held at the Presidential Palace was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, Deputy Minister of Trade of Turkey, Chairman of the Department of International Agreements and the European Union, Head of the Administration of the President of Georgia and the Advisor to the President of Georgia.
