Mayor of Tbilisi said certain diplomats and European bureaucrats continued to interfere in Georgia’s internal affairs, basing their actions on “false and misleading statements”. He also recalled the statements made by foreign diplomats during the parliamentary elections held in Georgia.
“All this is part of what we have seen in recent years - several attempts at coups, attempts to overthrow the current Government. Of course, these people are ordinary participants in this process, with their statements and actions.
Remember the parliamentary elections, when they made political statements. They directly attempted to interfere in the internal political affairs of the country, which, unfortunately, continues to this day. This doesn’t only apply to ambassadors. Look at what some European bureaucrats are doing, what statements they are making, which are based solely on lies, and the public sees this.
The public sees everything. Today, the situation is not the same as it was before 2012, when one person had all the media outlets in his pocket and the public did not have the opportunity to receive correct information. Today, the media is absolutely free, there are many opportunities for people to receive correct information on all issues”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
