Shalva Papuashvili hosts President of the National Assembly of Armenia in Telavi

Growing cooperation between Georgia and Armenia was discussed in a meeting between the Georgian Parliament Speaker and the President of the National Assembly of Armenia, in the framework of his unofficial visit to Telavi.

Shalva Papuashvili and Alen Simonyan highlighted the intensive agenda of the past year and fruitful bilateral relations and expressed their readiness to further strengthen ties in the legislative sphere.

They also discussed the ongoing geopolitical changes in the world and the current situation in the South Caucasus.

The officials confirmed their readiness to cooperate for strengthening peace, stability and confidence in the South Caucasus. They further underlined the prospects for utilising the potential of the Trans-Caucasus Transit Corridor.

Shalva Papuashvili welcomed Armenia`s efforts to deepen the dialogue with the EU and expressed Government`s support of Armenia`s European perspective and further expressed readiness to share Georgia`s experience.
