President of Georgia met with Alejandro Hajdenberg, Head of the International Monetary Fund [IMF] Mission, Jeroen Clicq, Executive Director of the Fund, and Andrew Jewell, the IMF`s Resident Representative in Georgia.
The discussion focused on current economic trends in the country, emphasizing the positive outcomes of ongoing economic development.
The parties reviewed existing cooperation between Georgia and the IMF and explored opportunities to further strengthen their partnership. It was noted that, despite geopolitical challenges, Georgia`s sound and consistent fiscal policies have yielded positive results across various sectors.
Mikheil Kavelashvili expressed gratitude to the IMF team for their continued support in advancing macro-fiscal and structural reforms in Georgia.
