The Prime Minister of Georgia said his Government was seeking to reboot its partnership with the US through a specific roadmap that outlines mutual benefits for both countries.

"Two congratulatory letters best illustrated the confrontation between the Trump administration and the deep state. Different currents are clearly visible. The first letter, sent under Marco Rubio`s name, was clearly influenced by the deep state. It was only after that letter was circulated that President [Donald] Trump`s letter was released, which was prepared in full accordance with protocol. This confrontation continues, it is not a simple dispute, as the deep state has significant resources.

We must remain hopeful that the Trump administration will prevail, which is essential for a real reboot of Georgian-American relations.

Our message to the public and to the American side is clear - we want to renew our strategic partnership from a clean slate, and we want to do so through a specific roadmap that outlines mutual benefits for both countries. This is a very open and clear message, and there is no alternative to a positive response. We will patiently await the American position. We hope that it will indeed be possible to renew this partnership", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
