The first thing that Georgia"s ill-wishers plant in our country is once again hatred among Georgians. If we defeat hatred, and let love unite us, nothing can stand in the way of the Georgian genetic code and talent – Kobakhidze

The first thing that Georgia"s ill-wishers plant in our country is once again hatred among Georgians. If we defeat hatred, and let love unite us, nothing can stand in the way of the Georgian genetic code and talent, said the Prime Minister of Georgia at the event, dedicated to the Independence Day.

“It is especially important on this day to remind ourselves that, over the past two centuries, Georgia has never been as independent as it is today. Georgia"s independence and uniqueness are supreme values, and nothing is of any value without them. Thus, cherishing them must be the object of daily care. And, on behalf of the Georgian Government, I pledge to you that it will surely be so.

We must constantly remind ourselves that the fight for Georgia"s independence and freedom is a perpetual process that continues even today. Since regaining state independence, Georgia continues the 40-year-long biblical path of Moses to the Promised Land.

For our country, the Promised Land means the two key national dreams coming true: first, an economically strong Georgia, where no family lives in need, and second, a physically and spiritually unified Georgia, Georgia with Abkhazia and Samachablo, Georgia where people are united by love for one another.

On this day, we must remind ourselves that hatred is the biggest enemy of independence and freedom, the reason why hatred was the first thing the soviet authorities encouraged in Georgia 35 years ago. Even today, the first thing that Georgia"s ill-wishers plant in our country is once again hatred among Georgians. If we defeat hatred, and let love unite us, nothing can stand in the way of the Georgian genetic code and talent”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
