Our European partners need to show more readiness to conduct dialogue with the government and have partnership relations, said Georgian Parliament’s Foreign Relations Committee Chairman, while commenting the statement from Alain Berset, Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
“Mr. Berset’s visit was followed by bullying from both internal and external political actors. Therefore, if there are any positive developments, we will welcome them. Everyone just needs to recognize the Georgian people’s choice, as well as the fact that Georgia has a government with which dialogue is necessary”, - said Nikoloz Samkharadze.
“Situation in Georgia is not as good as we want. It was really going in the wrong direction for many months, but it could be much worse. That’s the point. We have a bad dynamic at the moment. We need to have more contact. I will have contact very soon, I hope, with the Georgian ruling party and with the Prime Minister to see what we can do together to have movement in the right direction again”, - said earlier Alain Berset.
