The Mayor of Tbilisi ruled out the possibility of snap parliamentary elections in the country, stating that the Georgian Dream was fully focused on preparing for the upcoming local elections, scheduled for October.
"There are no plans to hold snap parliamentary elections. Georgian Dream is preparing for the local elections, which are extremely important. We will do everything to run a dignified campaign, visit people in every region, city, and village - even down to the precinct level - and talk about our plans, how we aim to address the challenges our country is facing.
So once again, no snap elections are on the table. Parliamentary elections will take place in 2028, as defined by the Constitution and the law.
The opposition has no chance of winning - neither in city councils nor in mayoral races. Their chances are zero, and they know it very well.
When you act against your own country, when you`re an agent of foreign interests, you simply cannot succeed politically. The Georgian people will give a clear response to all traitors and agents, both in parliamentary and local elections", - said Kakha Kaladze.
