Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze sets out for an official visit to Turkmenistan

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has set out for an official visit to Turkmenistan.

A welcome ceremony honoring the Prime Minister of Georgia was held at Ashgabat International Airport.

Tomorrow, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow will host Irakli Kobakhidze in a one-on-one meeting.

As part of the official visit, extended-format negotiations between the Cabinet Members of Georgia and Turkmenistan will be chaired by Georgia’s First Vice Prime Minister and the Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Cabinet of Ministers, followed by the signing of agreements on cooperation between sectoral institutions in a variety of areas.

The Prime Minister of Georgia is visiting Turkmenistan in the company of a delegation consisting of First Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture David Songhulashvili, Sports Minister Shalva Gogoladze, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
