Election of the 6th President of Georgia is underway in the Parliament amid protest rally. As the participants said, the presidential elections are illegitimate since the legislature is illegitimate. They also criticize the presidential candidate Mikheil Kavelashvili.

Some representatives of opposition parties also joined the protest. They once again said that this Parliament is illegitimate and they do not trust the 2024 parliamentary elections results.

The police force is being mobilized in the vicinity of the Parliament building. Patrol and criminal police officers are stationed on April 9, Chichinadze streets and in the territory, where a Christmas tree and a stage are installed.
