The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, accompanied by his spouse, Tamar Bagrationi, visited Svanidze Olive, a company located in the Dedoplistskaro Municipality of Kakheti, and took part in the olive harvest.

The President of Georgia, accompanied by the Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and representatives of the local and legislative authorities, toured the olive groves and production facility.

Mikheil Kavelashvili was briefed on the entire production cycle, from olive cultivation and harvesting to olive oil production.

Particular attention was paid to the prospects for developing olive production, the importance of the quality of Georgian agricultural products and opportunities to enhance their competitiveness in international markets.

It was noted that the development of Georgian agricultural production, the introduction of modern technologies and the production of high-quality goods create significant opportunities to realize the country’s agricultural potential and strengthen the position of locally produced goods in international markets.
