Officers of the Isani-Samgori Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested one person on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of a particularly large amount of narcotics.

The investigation determined that the defendant was involved in a scheme to illegally sell narcotics.

As a result of a search of the detainee's personal residence and yard, law enforcement officers seized 626 methadone pills packed in one package as evidence.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code, which provides for up to 20 years or life imprisonmen.
