Following the reopening of the road section from the Chovelidze Street intersection to Mikheil Javakhishvili Street as part of the ongoing Rustaveli Avenue rehabilitation project, a temporary traffic management scheme will take effect at 00:00 on 11 September.

According to the Tbilisi City Hall, vehicles travelling from the Philharmonic Concert Hall direction will be able to proceed towards the Rustaveli Metro Station via both Mikheil Javakhishvili Street and Dzmebi Kakabadzeebi Street.

“From Javakhishvili St., motorists can continue towards Dzmebi Kakabadzeebi St., head back towards the Philharmonic, or turn left onto Chovelidze St. Vehicles originating from Dzmebi Kakabadzeebi St. will be permitted to proceed straight onto Javakhishvili St. or turn left towards the Philharmonic.

Temporary public transport routes traversing this sector will also undergo modification: buses, namely routes N301, 305, 306, 308, 309, 310, 314, 326, 331, 337, 342, 345, 352, 358, 359, 388, 391, and 397, alongside minibuses N457, 472, 532, 540, and 541, will proceed from Melikishvili Avenue towards Rustaveli Metro Station, descending via Mikheil Javakhishvili St. to reach the Right Embankment of the Mtkvari River.

From there, services will connect to Baratashvili St. and follow their designated routes. In the reverse direction, vehicles will similarly utilise the Right Embankment and Mikheil Javakhishvili St. to reconnect with Kostava St. Two designated municipal transport stops will be operational on Mikheil Javakhishvili St., outside No. 8 and opposite, as well as outside No. 14 and its opposite side.
