Law enforcement seizes 1,107 packs of narcotics – 2 persons detained

Officers of the Gldani-Nadzaladevi Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained I.G. (born in 1986) and N.G. (born in 2000, previously convicted) on charges of illegal group purchase, possession, and facilitation of the sale of drugs.

Law enforcers conducted searches of the suspects` personal and residential premises in Rustavi, uncovering and seizing 1,107 packs of narcotics, known as “bio”, prepared for sale, from various locations as evidence.

The police also recovered materials necessary for packaging the drugs, including adhesive tapes, electronic scales, and polyethene ziplock bags.

The investigation is launched under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code, which carry penalties of up to 20 years` imprisonment or a life sentence.
