Officers of Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested T.G., born in 2010, for inflicting severe health damage on purpose.

The investigation established that the accused person, in Batumi, on the basis of a mutual dispute, inflicted multiple wounds with a cold steel to R.J., born in 1994, and then fled the scene. The injured man was taken to a clinic for appropriate medical care.

As a result of immediate investigative actions carried out by law enforcement officers, the accused person was arrested shortly after the crime was committed. The police seized the weapon used to commit the crime - a knife - as evidence.

The investigation is underway under Article 117 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for imprisonment for up to 7 years.
