Migration Department employees deported 78 foreign citizens from Georgia

Employees of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in close coordination with the relevant units of the Ministry, have deported 78 foreign citizens from Georgia in recent days.

The deported persons are citizens of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Yemen, India, Congo, Nigeria, Russia, South Africa, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and China.

In accordance with the current legislation, they were banned from entering the country. The strengthened legislative regulation based on the legislative amendments implemented last year and the intensive immigration control measures in terms of combating illegal migration have served as a preventive measure, leading to the voluntary departure of illegal migrants from Georgia.
