Head of the Revenue Service, Irakli Beraia, met with the Deputy Minister of Trade of Turkey, who is visiting Georgia

Head of the Revenue Service [RS] of the Ministry of Finance, Irakli Beraia, held a working meeting with the Deputy Minister of Trade of Turkey, Sezay Uçurmak. The meeting discussed in detail the trade and economic relations of the two countries and priority issues of regional cooperation. Head of the RS emphasized the progress achieved in managing increased cargo flows and noted that it is extremely important for the countries to have close communication in order to quickly identify challenges and respond to them in a timely manner.

Irakli Beraia thanked the Turkish side for the close cooperation and noted that Georgia is ready to take even more effective steps to deepen relations.

The working meeting was held within the framework of the Georgia-Turkey-Azerbaijan Trilateral Business Forum, which has been held for the seventh time since 2012. The event was attended by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Minister of Trade of Turkey, Omer Bolat, and the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, Mikail Jabbarov, as well as representatives of more than 300 leading companies from all three countries.

The bilateral meeting held within the framework of the business forum was also attended by the Head of the Customs Department, Mikheil Chokoshvili, Head of the International Relations Department, Archil Darakhvelidze, and other representatives of the customs administrations of the two countries.
