Officers of Marneuli Police Division under Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested R.A., born in 1977, on charges of inflicting severe health injury on purpose.

The investigation established that the accused person, on the basis of a mutual dispute, used a cold steel to injure S.J., born in 1979, and fled the scene.

The injured man was taken to the clinic, where he is receiving appropriate treatment.

As a result of the investigative actions conducted by law enforcement officers, R.A. was arrested as an accused person. The weapon used to commit the crime - a knife - has been seized as evidence.

The investigation is underway under Article 117 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for imprisonment for up to 7 years.
