Tbilisi City Court has considered the preventive measure against Otar Partskhaladze. He was sentenced to imprisonment in absentia.

The Prosecution requested pre-trial detention, while an international search has been launched for Partskhaladze.

The former Prosecutor General was named by the investigative agency yesterday as the organizer of Levan Jangveladze’s murder. According to the agency, Partskhaladze led an organized group that committed the murder in March of this year in the center of Tbilisi on the orders and for personal gain of a businessman.

As a reminder, former special forces officer Gela Udzilauri has already been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder. Several other individuals are involved in the case.
