Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Geka Geladze, together with a delegation, pays an official visit to the Republic of Türkiye, in the city of Istanbul.

Within the framework of the visit, the Minister held a bilateral meeting with his Turkish counterpart Ali Yerlikaya.

The parties discussed the existing law enforcement cooperation between two countries, the prospects for its deepening and priority areas of collaboration.

Ali Yerlikaya once again thanked his Georgian counterpart for the efforts made during the Turkish Air Force cargo plane crash in Georgia, for the prompt and effective cooperation. Special attention was also paid to the sharing of experience, best practices and deepening cooperation in the field of police education between the parties. The ministers of the two countries expressed hope that through joint efforts, the partnership between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Türkiye will further develop in the future. In conclusion, Geka Geladze thanked his Turkish counterpart for the invitation, warm greetings and hospitality.
