A mother and daughter were killed in a fire in the village of Khabume, Chkhorotsku municipality.
The fire spread to a house in the early hours of the morning, where a woman under 60 and her elderly mother were sleeping. They could not be saved, but another house in the same yard and the children living there escaped damage.
One of the causes of the fire is said to be electrical wiring. An investigation into the incident is underway.
