Georgia can expect rainfall, particularly in the western regions, with some areas experiencing heavy showers during this period, reads the information, issued by the National Environmental Agency [NEA].

According to the NEA, from December 12 to the morning of December 14 snow is expected in the mountainous regions, with some areas experiencing substantial accumulations, accompanied by fog, blizzards, and icy conditions on the roads.

“On December 13 and 14, strong westerly winds are expected to sweep across most of the country, and a storm of 4 - 5 intensity is possible at sea.

Due to the heavy snowfall, poor visibility, blizzards, and icy conditions, traffic restrictions may be enforced on certain routes [danger level – medium]”, - adds the agency.
