A meeting was held in the Ministry of Health on the issues of development and professional regulation of the activities of nurses and midwives. Mikheil Sarjveladze, together with representatives of medical institutions and nursing associations, discussed the development plans of the field.
According to the Minister, the reform will continue in the direction of quality development. Any changes will be based on detailed analysis, accurate calculations and continuous dialogue with the sector in order to avoid possible deepening of the staff shortage and ensure the consistent development of the process.
The parties agreed to define both short-term and long-term priorities, which will gradually strengthen the existing capabilities in the field of nurses and midwives and contribute to the sustainable development of the system.
Meeting was attended by Deputy Ministers - Tea Giorgadze and Irine Tsakadze, heads of various departments of the Ministry, representatives of the sector.
