As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Rustavi City Police Division of Kvemo Kartli Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, arrested V.K., born in 1987, with a previous conviction, on charges of threats against a person with disabilities, human trafficking and rape.

The committed crimes envision the imprisonment for a term of 9 to 14 years.

The investigation established that the accused person forced D.S., a disabled person, to beg for money in the streets by threatening her with physical violence and to bring him the money earned in this way.

As a result of the conducted investigative actions, it was also established that the accused person, using physical violence, had sexual intercourse with D.S. several times against her will.

As a result of the conducted investigative actions, law enforcement officers arrested V.K. as a defendant.

The investigation is ongoing under Article 143, Part II, Subparagraph “b”, Article 137, Part III, Subparagraph “d” and Article 151, Part II, Subparagraph “c” of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
