After the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development [EBRD], the Asian Development Bank [ADB] has also revised Georgia’s economic outlook upward. In its latest update, ADB increased the country’s 2025 growth forecast from 6% to 7%.

“The revision reflects Georgia’s strong performance in the first half of 2025, driven largely by rising domestic consumption. Robust expansion in services, industry, and construction played a key role in supporting growth.

In Georgia, strong performance in information technology and construction underpinned growth, alongside buoyant private consumption. Rising revenues from tourism and transport further boosted the external sector and reinforced Georgia’s growing role as a key transit route and tourism destination in the region”, - reads the report.

ADB’s inflation forecast for Georgia remains unchanged at 4% for 2025, in line with its April outlook: “Meanwhile, inflation in Georgia has remained moderate, and projections for both 2025 and 2026 are unchanged”.

For the wider region, ADB kept Armenia’s 2025 growth forecast steady at 5%, while Azerbaijan’s was downgraded from 3.4% to 2.4%.
