Migration Department employees deported 36 foreign citizens from Georgia

Within the framework of the complex measures carried out in recent days by the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, 36 foreign citizens were deported from Georgia, in close coordination with the relevant units of the Ministry.

The deported persons are the citizens of Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Egypt, Turkey, Turkmenistan, India, Jordan, Iran, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Philippines and China. In accordance with the current legislation, the deported persons were banned from entering the country.

As the agency says, during the current month alone, the Migration Department expelled 115 foreign nationals. According to seven-month statistics for 2025, a total of 640 foreign citizens have been deported – a 233% increase compared to the same period last year.

The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its competencies is to identify foreign citizens who reside in Georgia without legal grounds and to carry out their expulsion from Georgia.
