In order to effectively implement the treatment process for people suffering from drug addiction, the first medical unit for mandatory treatment was opened on the basis of the LLC “Center for Mental Health and Drug Addiction Prevention”.
The new department was visited by Mikheil Sarjveladze, Minister of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Protection, together with Giorgi Butkhuzi, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
The new inpatient facility is designed to accommodate 22 patients. In the near future, it is planned to periodically increase the bed fund. The institution is staffed with highly qualified medical personnel. A multidisciplinary team is involved in the treatment process, which includes narcologists, doctors of various profiles, psychologists and social workers.
Treatment will be carried out in accordance with modern clinical guidelines and international standards and will be fully tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
