Georgia strictly adheres to international sanctions - Prime Minister on Kulevi Port

Prime Minister of Georgia reaffirmed the country’s unwavering commitment to the international sanctions regime, underlining that Georgia remains a transparent and reliable partner on the global stage.

Speaking in response to inquiries regarding the Kulevi Port, he addressed concerns by highlighting Georgia’s rigorous compliance standards and its readiness for deep cooperation with international bodies.

“We are absolutely open to cooperation in this regard, including with the EU. Kulevi is a port of strategic importance for us. As for concrete issues, if there are questions, we are ready to provide answers. We will look into the details and hold consultations - we are completely open to such consultations.

We are ready to have fact-based consultations with EU representatives, we will provide all necessary responses… We are properly complying with the sanctions regime - this is our collective approach. Regarding specific matters, we are prepared for consultations with the EU”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
