The Prime Minister of Israel congratulated his Georgian counterpart Irakli Kobakhidze and the people of Georgia on the occasion of Independence Day.
“The people of Israel and Georgia had a special bond that spans centuries, characterised by shared values and deep-rooted historical ties.
In recent years, the strong ties between our centuries have also been characterised by a sharp increase in tourism, which has served as an important channel for cultural exchange and the mutual benefit of both our peoples. I take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the tolerance you and your Government have displayed towards the Jewish community in Georgia. With best wishes for many more years of prosperity and success”, - reads the congratulatory letter of Benjamin Netanyahu.
