Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Türkiye in New York.

The meeting underscored the high level of strategic partnership between Georgia and Türkiye and the successful cooperation across various fields.

Particular attention was paid to the positive dynamics of developing political and economic relations. It was noted that Türkiye remains Georgia's largest trading partner.

The parties discussed joint strategic projects of regional significance, which make a major contribution to regional development and strengthening connectivity. In this context, the importance of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, which has entered full operation, was noted.

Cooperation in the transport and energy sectors was also discussed at the meeting.

The special importance of peace for the sustainable and stable development of the region was emphasized.
