Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan.
During the one-on-one meeting, the leaders discussed the positive momentum in the development of cooperation between Georgia and Turkmenistan across various sectors. They reaffirmed their readiness to further deepen bilateral relations in the political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the fields of transport and energy. In this context, the leaders underscored the strategic importance of regional connectivity and the Middle Corridor. They also expressed their commitment to supporting the further development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor.
The Turkmen side expressed interest in sharing Georgia`s successful experience across a range of sectors.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of peace and stability as essential prerequisites for regional development and prosperity.
