Georgia will be presented at ITB CHINA 2026 [one of the largest tourism exhibitions in the Asian region] with the status of a partner country, which will contribute to raising the countryэs awareness and attracting tourist flows.
Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, and Maia Omiadze, Head of the National Tourism Administration, inspected the Georgian stand and the ongoing preparations.
Photo and video materials depicting Georgia are displayed in two airports of Shanghai and in central squares - across a total of up to 400 locations. Videos about Georgia have been prepared, which will be covered by Chinese media and digital channels.
Chef Irakli Asatiani is specially preparing for ITB China, and he will introduce Georgian dishes to the exhibition guests and host masterclasses.
Before the opening of the exhibition, on May 25, a special gala reception will be held on behalf of Georgia, which will be attended by up to 700 high-ranking guests. Guests will have the opportunity to taste Georgian dishes and learn about the history of Georgian gastronomy, culture, and Georgia's tourism destination.
