Police seized large quantities of drugs in Tbilisi - foreign citizen arrested

Officers of Old Tbilisi Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a foreign citizen on charges of illegal purchase, storage and sale of large quantities of drugs.

During the personal search of the defendant and search activities held in his residential home, law enforcement officers seized a large quantity of the drug "Methadone" prepared for sale, packaged in 23 packages, as evidence.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
