Shalva Papuashvili undertakes official visit to China at invitation of National People`s Congress Chair

Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, accompanied by a delegation, has departed for an official visit to the People’s Republic of China.

During the visit, Shalva Papuashvili is scheduled to hold high-level meetings with Chinese officials.

The delegation also includes: First Deputy Chairman of Parliament Giorgi Volski, who is also the Head of the Georgia-China Parliamentary Friendship Group; Deputy Chairpersons Nino Tsilosani and Sozar Subari; Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee Nikoloz Samkharadze; and Chairman of the Agriculture Committee Gela Samkharauli.

This marks the first official visit to China by the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament in the past 20 years.
