The Georgian Orthodox Church marks Apostle Andrew, the Holy and All-Praised First-Called day on May 12.
In connection with the date, a solemn service will be held in the Churchs.
The Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called was the 1st of the Apostles to follow Christ, and he later brought his own brother, the holy Apostle Peter, to Christ. The Apostle Andrew the First-Called Day is celebrated twice annually – on 12 May, marking his arrival in Georgia, and on 13 December, commemorating his death.
