Training shootings were conducted for the Border Guards of the Land Border Protection Department of MIA Border Police. Director of the Land Border Protection Department, Otar Arshinashvili, with his deputies, got acquainted with the training, on site and discussed with the Border Guards about the importance of the training.

The training shootings were held at the “Senaki”, “Simoneti”, “Orpolo” shooting ranges of the Defence Forces of the Ministry of Defence and Combat Training and Retraining Division of the Special Tasks Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The training course aims to strengthen the knowledge and skills of Border Guards on the legal basis for the use of firearms, the combat properties and equipment of the firearms, as well as the rules for their storage, maintenance and safe use. The training course began in February of this year and was completed by more than 2,000 employees. Similar special training is systematically conducted for the Border Guards.
