This is a direct threat, mixed with warm words - Volski on Herczyński`s remarks

In the interview with Imedi TV the First Vice Speaker of Parliament responded to the recent remarks made by the European Union Ambassador to Georgia, labeling them as an orchestrated threat against the country.

"He [Paweł Herczyński] is promising us a Maidan scenario - that such a clash will occur within society that it becomes an irreversible process, followed by casualties and the dark perspective he hints at. This threat is not something he made up, he is carrying out instructions. Herczyński voices these instructions even as his heart aches. Previously, he referred to the Georgian people only as those who set fires in the streets and threw Molotov cocktails; now it is different - he addresses everyone. It seems he himself feels regret while following these instructions, which is why he addresses the people with kind and warm words, expressing his attitude toward society. At the same time, this means he is addressing everyone, that is why we have called this a threat", - said Gia Volski.

The EU Ambassador to Georgia stated that "Georgia and its warm and hospitable people" must not be allowed to slip back into a period marked by "violence, civil conflict, poverty, hardship, and corruption".
