Parliament prepares to start accelerated review of Government change package - vote scheduled for Wednesday

Personnel rotation and structural reform - Parliament prepares to start accelerated review of the Government change package. Today, the Procedural Issues Committee will discuss the matter, and the vote is scheduled to take place during Wednesday’s [April 29] session.

MPs are expected to support the creation of a new State Minister’s Office, to be headed by Mamuka Mdinaradze. In parallel, the procedure for confirming the new Head of the State Security Service is also beginning. Geka Geladze will replace Mdinaradze, while Sulkhan Tamazashvili will take over Geladze’s post.

The parliamentary majority is ready to support the Government’s decision.
