Officers of Tbilisi, Adjara and Guria Police Departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 11 people at various times on drug-related charges. Among the detainees are both Georgian and foreign citizens.
As a result of the personal search and search activities held in residential homes of the accused persons, as well as during the investigative experiment conducted, law enforcement officers seized as evidence a particularly large amount of various types of narcotic drugs prepared for sale, including: "Methadone", "Alpha-PVP", "Marijuana", "Ketamine" and "MDMA".
As a result of the investigative actions conducted, the police also seized materials necessary for packaging narcotic drugs and cash allegedly received as a result of the sale of drugs.
The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
