Slovakia highly appreciates the open cooperation between Georgia and Slovakia in the United Nations and other international organizations. Slovak president said this at the joint briefing with his Georgian counterpart.

"We should emphasize the situation in the South Caucasus [region]. We welcome the peaceful resolution of the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and Georgia plays a key role in stabilizing this region. Slovakia participates in the European initiative Global Gateway and we are interested in building infrastructure.

Georgia has a strategic position on this route - between Asia and Europe, in the transport sector, in the energy carriers sector, and no one can leave Georgia out and bypass it here. That is why we have very good relations with Georgia, because it can play an important role in this context in the future as well", - said Peter Pellegrini.
