We firmly support the Georgian people. We look forward to the visit of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Budapest within the framework of the CPAC conference, stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary.
“We categorically reject and condemn this decision of the European Union. It is unacceptable to have an approach where the victory of patriotic forces in elections is viewed as a threat to democracy. Do not try to manipulate public opinion; the picture is clear: if patriots win the elections, the EU claims that democracy is under threat, but if liberal forces win, then democracy is in its best shape. This double standard is completely obvious.
We firmly support the Georgian people. We look forward to the visit of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Budapest within the framework of the CPAC conference. The Georgian government can count on our full support in all directions. We have great respect for your patriotic political course.
I would also like to note that the EU’s sanctions policy is a complete failure, and it is time to finally abandon this approach.
Democratic elections were held in Georgia, where the people themselves determined the country’s development vector. As for the protests, they are an integral part of the democratic process - as long as it is possible to hold protests, it is proof that there is democracy in the country”, - said the Minister.
