Charter flights to repatriate Georgian citizens from the Middle East - first flight to operate today

The Georgian government has scheduled charter flights to repatriate Georgian citizens stranded in the Gulf states due to hostilities. The first flight from Muscat to Tbilisi will take off today.

Special flights to repatriate citizens to Georgia will currently be operated from the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman.

The flight schedule has already been agreed, and those wishing to return to their homeland should call the embassies` hotlines and register.

“Due to the current situation in the Middle East and taking into account travel disruptions caused by the closure of airspace in several countries, the Government of Georgia has decided to operate special flights for Georgian citizens whose timely return cannot be ensured by the relevant airlines.

By decision of the Government of Georgia, special flights will be operated:

Muscat (Sultanate of Oman) - Tbilisi (Georgia)
