The ruling team views the UK sanctions imposed on Imedi and POSTV as censorship and an attempt to restrict television broadcasting. The sanctions include asset freezes, a ban on financial services for asset management, and the disqualification of directors.

The "United Neutral Georgia" also released a statement on this issue. The party speaks of pressure and blackmail against the country.

According to Archil Gorduladze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs, everyone follows the same scheme – labeling everything as "Russian".

"They have one simple scheme: to call everything "Russian" - every force and every person who serves democracy and their homeland. That`s why they came up with a simple mechanism and are calling POSTV and Imedi spreaders of Russian propaganda. Today their joy has turned to sorrow, because these sanctions have yielded no results", - said Archil Gorduladze.
