We have appealed to the Constitutional Court with a motion regarding the constitutional lawsuit, requesting that the assessment and review of our political party’s constitutionality be separated into a distinct case. Such a statement made the Executive Secretary of the “Gakharia for Georgia” party.

According to Berdia Sichinava, the party will participate in the constitutional proceedings.

“We believe that reviewing the issue of checking the constitutionality of different political parties individually is the minimum legal obligation and standard that must be fulfilled, at least formally.

We have participated in every constitutional arena of struggle, and we intend to do the same now. We will, of course, participate in the upcoming process at the Constitutional Court”, - said Berdia Sichinava.

Starting tomorrow, the Constitutional Court begins reviewing the Parliament’s constitutional lawsuit. Regarding the issue of banning the activities of 5 political parties, the lawsuit submitted by 88 MPs will be presented by Archil Gorduladze, Giorgi Kakhiani, Tengiz Sharmanashvili, and Tornike Cheishvili.
